I refer to this as "LIBERATING". The 11 filing cabinets of employee records that I donated to Steamtown last year were "LIBERATED" from the Port Jervis roundhouse about 2 months before it burned. Those records were just rotting away in there and the Conrail policeman that I asked said "take what you want, it's going to the dumpster anyway". It was still technically stealing but I think that I did the right thing.

garbage, I'm all for taking it for the sake of preservation."
