Well, don't forget - the Lackawanna didn't have anywhere close to the number of gons the Erie did, so it would make sense that DL&W-painted gons would be far less frequently seen. I also have two photos of DL&W-painted gons in the mid-1970s, so some did make it (remember how many DL&W-painted boxcars made it to CR years as well?) 


Tangent seems to be good about being accurate - there's a photo on their website of a CR car with DL&W "heritage markings" on it, so at least ONE DL&W-lettered car made it into CR. :)
