I will amend my post about this book from a few weeks ago - I finally got
around to fully reading the book, and was somewhat disappointed with it.
Yes, there are a few good photos, but the majority of them are very
"snapshot camera" quality, and worse the captions are flawed in spots, even
though the author had a team of four individuals to help with the writing. A
lot of the captions are "general fluff" (e.g., there was a photo of Erie NW2
#421, and the caption is just a history of the NW2 diesel in general, like
it was culled from a diesel history book)
My positive review of the "Trackside around Binghamton" book still stands,
and I highly recommend it.
Caveat emptor.
