(erielack) DLW Insulated Trailers

This is a Willis McCaleb photo being offered on Ebay of three NKP
trailers in 3-59 at Fruehauf in Avon Lake OH. The interesting bonus for
us are the three orange trailers in the background. These are rare
shots of the second series of fifty insulated trailers (31-80) bought by
the DL&W that same year.

We're all familiar with the early orange insulateds (1-30), a few of
which lasted right up to CR as storage trailers. This second group were
35' and used as trade-ins by EL in 11-65. I've always wondered why
there hasn't been any photos of these insulateds that have turned up.
One reason, perhaps these trailers had only the DLW numbers on the front
and back and no identification on the sides as in this photo of freshly
painted trailers. So they were easy to miss and of course didn't last
too long on the EL.

Has anyone seen other photos of trailers from this series?
