Re: (erielack) CNW F's
NJT 'got' six F7's from Metra to supplement the U34CH's (not U33; the U34CH was a U36C with a HEP generator). To confuse things, EL had numbered its U36C's right behind its U33C's - the 3600 block was used for SD45 models.
417 and 420 were donated to the United Railways Historical Society of NJ, who leased them to Metro-North - MN was even tighter on power than NJT had been. The lease required them to be returned operable and in Lehigh Valley paint. Now, they are probably stored operable on the Morristown & Erie. I did not see them at Morristown last week.
418 is stored at Ringoes on the BR&W, vandalized, in NJT paint.

423, 424, and 425 went back to Chicago. 423 was sold to a tourist line and apparently is operable.
