Re: (erielack) Re: Erielack Digest V2 #332, Lackawanna trailer

Fred-

Who's going to move all the grand pianos the Music Store has stored in it?
And where are you going to put the trailer after we wrestle it away from
this guy (besides your back yard)??

Now lets see. We'll need a trailer about the same size to swap for it.
Then move everything he now has in it out into the new trailer, that's
after we hack our way through the woods to get at it. Then we would
probably need eight new tires for the trailer and then take off the old
ones by turning the rusty nuts on the present tires and then putting on the
new ones. Ever change a tire on a trailer in the woods?? I've done it on
a road, not really fun! Then position and hook up a tractor to drag it out
of the woods and recondition the brakes and hydraulic system before hitting
the road with it. Or can we get it on another rented flat bed trailer with
a rented crane, then we can skip the reconditioning, but is it so rusted
through that it couldn't take the stress of loading it or dragging it???

Fred, I think you better start saving for the $20,000 cost to do this right
now.

Some project! I think we can probably build a new one for less money.
