Re: (erielack) Erie E8 B UNits
No B Units ever owned by Erie or DLW , only E8A's and for that matter PA's
(no passenger B units)
The Stewart AS616 is basically the same body as the Erie DRS66-1500 and all
the plans I've seen including bfron BLW show the Body/frame/ Fuel Tankair
tanks identical as far as length on AS 16, AS 416, AS 616,
this makes it pretty easy to swap trucks around to get the right model your
particular RR used I have both the B-B (4 axle) and C-C (6 axle) stewarts
for Erie and I used the first release of athearn drive 4 axles factory Erie
painted models and bought six axle trucks . I might add the first run paint
job was superb, and the yellow was right on. The only Add on you need for
1154-1161 are the Dynamis brake screens , fan, and higher mounted number
boards. Ti be detailed right. The 1151-53 lacked Dynamic brakes so they are
pretty good right out of the box.
