One of the things that caught my attention in this photo as well as
others, and first had sightings is why the Erie and often the CNJ ran
combines with the baggage section away from the engine.
Apparently this coach wasn't used for passengers. It may have
been carrying newspapers. This arrangement seemed to rarely
occur on the Lackawanna.
I was also intrigued to discover that this was an "extra" move beyond
Suffern. I can't recall, off-hand any train timetable with trains
terminating at Tuxedo. I'll have to look through my collection of TT's
tonight.
