Re: (erielack) Kodak vs. Fuji
KOADK 25 colors on a bright, sunny day are TRUE. My sister works for an =
advertising company and her husband works for a printing company. Yes, =
you are correct--Fuigi is preferred because of color saturation. My =
sister says that often during the printing process the images are (I can;t =
think of the term) double-printed which saturates the colors.

Hold on a second...
Before any of you start bad-mouthing Fuji slide film you should know that =
in the publishing industry it is the most common film used. I work for =
Hemmings Motor News (a large automotive publishing company) and photographi=
ng calendars and magazine covers is a big part of what I do. In fact, the =
last automotive pub co also used Fuji exclusively. The cars I photograph =
are in the same setting (Natural sun lighting) as trains are. Velvia 50 =
speed film has very exagerated colors especially when photograping green =
and red subjects. These subjects look great on a bright sunny day but if =
there is a small amount of overcast forgetaboutit!=20
Here in the office we use Provia 100F speed film. It has a very small =
grain and can be blown up very large (if you don't believe me, go to =
Barnes and Noble and look at some of our calendars) This film is the best =
stuff on the market. Hands down.
Kodak film in our oppinion, sucks. Colors are very drab and is band from =
our office. No because we are anti Kodak we are just anti-bad images.=20
Anyway. Before you trash the Fuji, try Provia 100F. If you buy it in bulk =
quantities, B&H Phot in NYC is the absolute cheapest way to buy film. An =
no I don't work for B&H.=20
So back off on the Fuji. It IS the best slide film on thet market.
