(erielack) Port Jervis Line
Hi All,
I've just switched from the Hudson Line to the Port Jervis line in my =
daily commute to Manhattan.
Questions (I'm sure I'll have more)
Ridgewood Junction - where do the diverging tracks go to?
I've notices near Harmon Cove there is a number of foundation =
structures. From a speeding train they seem to be a concrete box about =
3 feet long, not sure how wide and about 18" off the ground. On top of =
the box are two concrete cubes about 1 foot on all sides. At first I =
thought that they might be a foundation for signals, but there seemed to =
be too many of them.
Lastly, I've finally started on my layout with my son. We're doing the =
Erie and E-L in the Goshen area. The question that I have is, there was =
a line that ran from Campbell Hall (and maybe further out) to Goshen and =
then I believe on to Pine Island (?) Anyway, I can find traces of it at =
Campbell Hall train station and crossing Rte 207 near Goshen. Does =
anyone know where it interchanged in Goshen in relation to the Erie =
station in Goshen?
Thanks
Mike Monahan
