Re: (erielack) Update: Lackawanna Dining Car 470
Growing up in Ridgewood, I have a leaning toward the Erie side. However, as
a basic EL fan who admired the beautiful gray and maroon livery in a sea of
PC black, I would be happy to preserve any EL equipment that still exists.
The Phoebe Snow looked great as a more modern lightweight equipped train,
but remember many of the ex-Erie hw rebuilds also served well in such
service. The EL worked under impossible conditions to maintain quality to
the end, even extending service beyond the official cut-off date to ensure
no one was stranded over the holidays, particularly college students who had
used the trains.
My offer still stands no matter which piece of equipment can be obtained.
