Forgive me for being so bold but I'm trying every lead I can find.  :)

My Great-Great Grandfather was a conductor on the DL&W Rail Road in the late
1800s, 189-1891 are the two dates I'm positive about.

Do you have any suggestions as to how I might obtain more information on
him?
 Is there a place that might keep records of conductors?

His name was James G. VanOver and he was from Elmira, New York.

Thank you for your input.  I really enjoyed your website, the pictures of
passenger lists was fascinating.
