(erielack) Another Erie + Lackawanna Merger

  Hey better get ready for the latest Erie + Lackawanna merger, NJ Transit
crews started prepping the NY&GL RR (Erie) in Montclair for the connection
with the Montclair Branch (Lackawanna). They cut the Erie rails Tuesday
morning so they could start to swing the rails in the direction of DL&W,
they also finished up work on a sort of shoo fly curve to the NY&GL tracks
so they could perform this work and continue to operate the daily commuter
service. The TWO NJ Transit wire trains were very busy stringing wire on
Track 2, and it's been completed from Montclair to Great Notch.  
  It's ironic that NJ Transit at the very same time, is also very hard at
work improving and double tracking the "Other" Erie + Lackawanna connection
in Clifton / Paterson NJ that connected the Boonton Line and the Erie
Mainline back in the 60's.
