Folks,
For those who are interested in Dundee Island, Bill Sheppard will be
reprinting a Right of Way and
Track Map of the Bergen & Dundee Railroad Company that was operated by the
Erie Railroad Company. This map is dated June 30, 1916 and was revised in
later years and shows a connecting NYS&W Railroad line and tracks serving
Botany Worsted Mills and other industries. Other details include the wye
track connecting with the Bergen County Railroad in Garfield and track that
runs in the middle of Monroe Street to the wood trestle (Half-moon Bridge)
across the Passaic River to Dundee Island. Although the condition of the
map leaves something to be desired, there are a wealth of details still
available for modeling purposes, etc.
Folks interested in obtaining a copy should contact Bill directly via
e-mail (ShepRail_@_aol.com) or regular mail. The map is $14 postpaid.
Bill's address, by the way, is:
William Sheppard
1 Teaberry Drive
Medford, NJ 08055
And no, I don't get any money for this! :) Just letting all on the list
know...
- Paul
