I have noticed that all the F-unit photos appearing on the list have the fuel tank skirts removed. I have long wondered why, on many of the older Fs and Es, this was done. Did the panels deteriorate or did their removal improve access to something? Was it something else? Does anyone know? - - Dave Green, ELHS #1366 ------------------------------
