Good morning - I am an ERIE fan seeing that my father worked for the ERIE
for 48 years and grew up around the steam era. I have acquired a bell and
frame from an ERIE locomotive and wonder if there is any way to identify
what loco. it came from. The bell is marked ERIE R.R., 1888, and the frame
has a number 1136 in the casting. This is about a 300# bell with the lip
measuring out at 19". It would be nice to get some history on this bell and
a picture of the engine. I also belong to the Miami Garden Railroad Club and
it would be interesting to our members also. Thanks for any light you
could shine on this. RON
