I picked up my 2 of the above today. Paul T. reviewed the asthectics of
these about 6 - 8 weeks ago and I have to agree that they are beautiful
models. I haven't had a chance to run them yet, but I am not too concerned,
given the operating characteristics of P2k's previous offerings. I'll find
out tonight and will inform only if they disappoint (although I would love
if P2k could match Atlas' (or Kato's) running characteristics, IMHO, the
Atlas U23b is the smoothest operating loco out there, although I haven't
bought any of their recent locos (i.e. GP40 / 38, C40-8, etc.).
The paint, detailing, handrails, steps, etc. are all as Paul described in
his review.
If you haven't bought or reserved one, do so soon. These are beauties.
