Conrail.  EL Inc. went out of business in about 1990.  The Penn Central,
Jersey Central, and Reading all went into other businesses, mainly to tak=
e
advantage of their tax-losses to use against future earnings.  My favorit=
e
(and you can buy its stock on NASDAQ) is the Reading, now Reading
Entertainment, owns a series of movie theaters in Australia and New
Zealand!
