RE: (erielack) Railroad in the funnies

The male character here is patterned after cartoonist Lynn Johnston's husband, who is an unabashed railfan and modelers (they live in Canada, too, hence the CN boxcar in the freight and the CN-scheme [albeit early green] diesels!)
