Someone asked for information on the Lackawanna RS-3 series that were
equipped with a small tank behind the cab.
I found a photo in Sheldon King's book on page 81 clearly showing the tank.
It was apparently on 901- 904.  I have read or been told that the tank held
lubricating oil so as to be able to refill the ALCO prime mover at some
outpost.
Look at page 105 of Lackawanna in Color for another shot.   Also page 8 of
F,D&S Volume THree Number 4
