Check out www.undergroundminers.com They're based in NEPA and have literally 
gone underground throught the area to document and photograph abandoned mines 
throught Northeast PA. They're also restoring some mining cars, etc.

My interest in mining is with the Underwood mine where my grandfather worked. 
In addition to what I have (photos from the 1980s, etc.), they supplied more 
information via current photos. 

As we all know, many of these mines were served by Erie and DLW. This group 
is worth contacting. They do answer as best they can.
