I used to hang out at XN (Shenango Tower) near Greenville PA in the early to mid 70's. I was on board MILW SD45 # 6 which had this weird electronic bell if I recall. MILW power was common. BN F45's and some NP power would show up as well. Bessemer would bring down new units from GE Erie PA to go west as well. UP and NdeM come to mind as well.
