A  couple of factoids: 1) Prior to Sinclair buying the refinery in 1917-19,
it  was owned by Union Petroleum.  2)
Sinclair owned 6446 railroad tank  cars

At the WAG convention we saw several photos of strings of SINCLAIR
tank cars with large 3 foot size lettering across them. Silver  lettering on 
a black tank.
