I attended an EL safety program at the Summit (NJ) public school system at the large auditorium of the either the Junior High School or Senior High School. So this would have been in the time frame of Sept 1972 - March 1976. Sorry but I can't be more specific about the year. Reprentative(s) of the EL, Summit Police Department, Summit Fire Department, and local officials gave the safety presentation. Literature in the form of safety brochure from the Association of American Railroads stamped with the EL diamond were distributed to the audience. IIRC there was no specific name given to the program as we know today.
