Speaking of NJ Transit unending adventures, I caught a three car diesel train a couple of days ago. I understand that they couldn't turn the heat off in our Arrow 1 car, so they left the end door open, and I was sitting right behind it. You could hear the sound of the diesel pulling the train, the entire ride. Music to my ears.
