(erielack) New EL CD from Erie Lackawanna Equipment Leasing, LLC



To all listers:

Erie Lackawanna Equipment Leasing, LLC is proud to offer a new EL TRACK CHART 
& TIMETABLES, FREIGHT TIMES & CLASSIFICATIONS CD which contains important 
information pertaining to the physical characteristics and daily operation of the 
Erie Lackawanna Railroad. 

The CD features: 

1. Susquehanna Division First Sub Division Track Chart from Hickory Grove, 
New York, MP 194 to Hornell, New York MP 333. The chart contains information 
regarding track layout, signals, and type of rail and ballast. Also included are 
the location of bridges and culverts. The Track Chart was originally produced 
for the Erie Railroad on January 27, 1950, but it is revised and updated by 
the Office of Division Engineer, Hornell, New York to December 30, 1968. Chart 
is scanned west to east. 


 2.  The same track chart but for convenience scanned east to west.


 3. Mahoning Division Maintenance Chart revised to January 27, 1971. This 
chart contains physical characteristics for the entire Mahoning Division and 
branches. Information about track curvature, gradient, mile post locations, road 
and railroad crossings, and permitted maximum speeds is all included.  


4. Erie Railroad Allegany-Meadville Division Employee timetable #58, 
effective Sunday, April 28, 1957. 

5. Erie Railroad Susquehanna Division, Delaware Division, and Tioga Branch 
Employee timetable #62 effective Sunday, April 24, 1960. This timetable includes 
passenger trains of the Lackawanna using Erie tracks between Binghamton and 
Gibson, New York.

6. EL RR Kent Division Employee timetable #67 effective Sunday, October 28, 
1962. 

7. EL RR Susquehanna, Buffalo, Mahoning, and Marion Division Employee 
timetable effective Monday, October 30, 1966. 

8. Erie Lackawanna Railroad Company, Through Freight Train Classifications, 
Times and Connections effective October 26, 1969. These 118 pages contain a 
wealth of information pertaining to EL through and local freight operations. 
Includes symbols, classifications, schedules, and foreign road connections.  If 
you want to know about EL freight operations from 1969, this will be of 
invaluable assistance. 

9. Erie Railroad Susquehanna Division, Delaware Division, and Tioga Branch 
Employee timetable effective Sunday, October 26, 1958. Information before the 
Lackawanna moved over to Erie territory. 

A. Roustabout Agreement: This agreement effective May 1, 1946, between the 
Lackawanna Railroad and the operating Brotherhoods provided for the 
establishment of Roustabout assignments. This important document was still in effect until 
April 1, 1976. This will inform you of what locals were operating including 
home terminals, stations served, and days off. A very important document! 

B. Road Switcher Assignments: Article 24, former Erie Railroad territory 
local freight assignments agreed to between EL RR and the Locomotive engineers 
effective August 1, 1967. A similar document as "A," but this pertains to former 
Erie Railroad territory.

C. Road Crew Lodging Agreement to provide for away-from-home terminal lodging 
for Road Crews. Designated Hotels and crew facilities. Effective September 1, 
1971. 

D. Interdivisional Agreement for EL Fireman effective September 1, 1971. 
Provides for the run-through of Fireman covered by the United Transportation 
Union, effective September 1, 1971. The Engineers also signed this agreement. 

E. Erie Lackawanna head-on collision at Garrettsville, Ohio, September 15, 
1966. The investigation into the accident with numerous rule violations was 
blamed on Dispatcher error.

 F. EL Mahoning Division General Orders C-308, C-309, C-310, and 502, January 
1966.
