The officer's statement O: Well, ever since 9/11, it is now illegal to photograph mass transportation. That's a regulation of Homeland Security. Seems to contradict this http://www.nppa.org/news_and_events/news/2006/01/njt.html I'd forward the above to the officer (and his boss) and ask why the head of NJT said in January its okay to photograph, when, according to the officer, photography of mass transit remains illegal. Why would the head of the transit agency say its okay if, according to the officer, Homeland Security says its illegal? This is an account of what happened on a MARC platform just last month. Again, no mention of a blanket prohibition from Homeland Security.
