The hoppers are probably brand-new from Greenville Steel Car in Greenville PA. The train symbol (if accurate) is interesting since BN-99 generally originated in Marion. The presence of the BN unit doesn't necessarily mean it was BN-99, as BN units regularly ran through to Port or Croxton on NE-74/PO-74. Did the caption mention a date, Bill? Paul B From: "Bill K." <pontiac_@_dreamscape.com> Subject: (erielack) April Railpace Anyone notice in the April Railpace "B&O Across Ohio" segment, there's a couple of shots with EL power? One is a shot of a B&O train at Kent with the EL yard visible in the background and a pair of EL units side by side (looks like an F and a GP35) showing; the other is "BN-99" at Center Street in Akron with an E8 leading what looks like an SD45 and a BN U30C, with a long cut of brand-new looking BN hoppers head out. Thought it worth mentioning - Bill K. The Erie Lackawanna Mailing List Sponsored by the ELH&TS http://www.elhts.org ------------------------------
