Ron Dukarm's question about the paint scheme on EL 402 reminded me of something else I was wondering - does anyone know what happened to Erie/EL NW2 403? I have shots of it in Erie paint up to 1964, and one shot (undated, sadly) with the Erie lettering painted out and a hastily-stencilled white Roman "EL" over the cab number. It apparently never got full EL paint.
