Are the boxcars Erie as well? I've passed by the place a few years ago but I don't remember. I believe it was just the parlor car and two boxcars there, right? - -----Original Message----- From: erielack-owner_@_lists.elhts.org [mailto:erielack-owner_@_lists.elhts.org]On Behalf Of Palmer, Brian Sent: Saturday, June 03, 2006 1:10 PM To: erielack_@_lists.elhts.org Subject: (erielack) Erie Parlor car, Express Restaurant Surf City NJ The Beach Haven Times, Long Beach Island's weekly Newspaper reports that the Erie parlor car and two boxcars have been saved from scrapping by Barnegat restaurateur Martin Sprinzen. Sprinzen currently operates the Sweet Jenny's restaurant on Rt 9 Barnegat NJ. The railcars will be trucked off of Long Beach Island and will become a steak house adjacent to Spinzen's current operation. The restaurant will be located on the west side of RT 9 opposite side from the Tuckerton railroad ROW. No date was specified for the move. If Sprinzen had not saved the cars a Camden scrap firm would have cut the cars up.
