I was just looking at George Elwood's site with a lot of Lackawanna Steam displayed for June 4th. Here's a question. Lackawanna seemed to place air-horns on a lot of their larger steam power -- Poconos, Hudsons, but very few of the large Pacifics ever had them -- possibly only the ones streamlined. I don't recall any of the Pacifics running in suburban service in the final years with air horns. I wonder why these engines never got them?
