(erielack) Norwich Piggyback ramp

The ramp Todd found at: http://www.rr-fallenflags.org/el/bldg/el-noryd-ade.jpg

Is one of the former Lackawanna 40' piggyback fishbelly flats of either the 16100-16313 or 16400-16449 groups.

It also appears that another former DL&W piggyback flat from the 16499-16699 group has been placed against the ramped car as a transition car. These cars had sliding bridge ramps and would have mated well with more modern pigflats.

The photo is not dated but from the other rolling stock visible, paint scheme of the geep, etc. it is unlikely that the 16499 car was still in revenue series. Many of the former Lackawanna pigflats from all four groups were used to make local pigflat ramps all over the E-L system.
