List, I've been going through the daily record sheets for the UPS trains, and beginning in fall 1975 I'm finding frequent mention of "PAD" in reference to delays, usually with westbounds. A common example is "Use PAD Owego to Smithboro", "Pad running", "Mahwah-97 ahead on PAD", or simply "PAD"; in each case the delay incurred was 10-15 minutes. I assume it's an acronym, does anyone know what it means? The other is a consist note for ACX-99 on a couple of days, "1 BC3 on rear". Could this be business car? Thanks for your help on these.
