I always wondered if that was true or not. If true, any idea how CR
accomplished that? Also, when you say "good" diesels, do you mean
appearance-wise or mechanical-wise? Or both?

I thaught my post about the PC foisting off its warn out diesel on the
Jersey
Central would bring back some other memories-memories of the PC grabing the
EL's good diesels for its own lines, after Conrail began. That used to be
a popular topic on the former EL.
