(erielack) Detailed look at DL&W FTs going into EL

Here's the best look I can provide about DL&W FT's going into EL and their
paint variations. Numbers provided are EL numbers. "B/Y" is the EL
black/yellow freight scheme, "G/M/Y" is the EL gray/maroon/yellow scheme
with the large maroon band (known on the DL&W as the "passenger" variation)
6000-series units originally wore DL&W "freight" scheme:

6011:
Repainted by 4-63 into EL B/Y

6012:
*status unknown* - anyone got photos?

6014:
Still in DL&W freight scheme by 5/62, but with EL numbers. Assumption is it
went to scrap wearing this paint.

6021:
Still in DL&W freight scheme with EL numbers. Assumption is it went to scrap
wearing this paint.

6022:
Still in DL&W freight scheme with EL numbers. Assumption is it went to scrap
wearing this paint.

6024:
Still in DL&W freight scheme with EL numbers. Assumption is it went to scrap
wearing this paint.

6031:
Still in DL&W freight scheme with EL numbers (interestingly, the numbers
were condensed Gothic, not the large DL&W Roman). Assumption is it went to
scrap wearing this paint.

6032:
Repainted into EL G/M/Y (looks like DL&W passenger scheme) by 5/62.

6034:
Still in DL&W freight scheme with EL numbers (interestingly, the numbers
were condensed Gothic, not the large DL&W Roman). Assumption is it went to
scrap wearing this paint.

6041:
Repainted into full EL G/M/Y scheme by 11/61. Wrecked 7/62.

6042:
Still in DL&W freight scheme with EL numbers. Assumption is it went to scrap
wearing this paint.

6044:
Repainted into full EL G/M/Y scheme by 11/61. Wrecked 7/62.

* There's at least one other FTSB that got the EL G/M/Y repaint, but I can't
make out the number on the slide. Anyone know?

6500-series units originally wore DL&W "passenger" scheme:

6511/6512:
Repainted EL B/Y by 5/63

6521/6522:
Repainted (not just a relettering) EL G/M/Y by 1/61

6531/6532:
Repainted EL B/Y by 7/62

6541/6542:
Repainted EL B/Y by 5/65

It is rather interesting to see that the majority of the 6500-series FTs got
B/Y paint, while only a single solitary FTA got B/Y in the 6000-series. Even
more odd is that the repaints in the 6000-series primarly got EL G/M/Y paint
- - why for a freight units? DL&W loyalty?
