A small point -- but aren't they the most fun? Anyway, all Ingersoll-Rand did was supply the engines. GE built, marketed and supported the locomotives -- unlike the earlier boxcabs, which were truly IRAGE: ALCo built the carbodies and truck and GE supplied the electrical gear, but IR assembled the locomotives and marketed them. After all, both ALCo and GE had locomotives of their own to sell. Randy Brown The Erie Lackawanna Mailing List Sponsored by the ELH&TS http://www.elhts.org ------------------------------
