I reall being told by the operators at WR and my uncle [who worked at DB] to not get too close to the passing trains since there's always the risk of something sticking out/off of a car and clobbering me. Or, in the case of some metal stapping bands hanging over and cutting seriously me because one could barely see it until it would be too late.
