I've got three B/W pictures I took of the two sections of the Phoebe Snow on her last run taken at Dover. I'll send them to someone if you want to post them. Let me know.

It was a dreary day in more ways than one. If memory serves, the final
Phoebe, in two sections, ran way behind schedule. Interestingly, the
signature tavern-lounge car did appear at least once more on the railroad
after the demise of the Phoebe Snow...I remember seeing it go past the
house in South Orange at the end of a special and thinking..."What the...?"
Does anyone recall what additional runs the tavern-lounge cars had
subsequent to 11/27/66? Also, where were they stored until their
disposition?

Forty years ago E-L #1 & #2, The Phoebe Snow, ran for the last time
[Nov.27/28, 1966].
Dad and I went to the Greenville, Pa Erie Station and to see the last #1
come in. It was a rainy Sunday night. We walked to the rear of the train. A
D&H business car was behind the normal tavern-lounge, so we got a couple
photos of the business car with a drumhead sign on the rear railing. We had
wanted a shot of the tavern-lounge with its twin signs.
I did get to ride #1 in June 1966 on a trip with my grandmother to Omaha.
Quite an experience for an 11 year old.
