The "first" or "original" green scheme is, presumably, the one with the low, wrap-around wings. I have seen no proof that any but the first four E8s (820-823) were decorated that way. Therefore, I hold that 833's first scheme was the high-wing green design in which it was delivered.
Proof that I have misunderstood would be a major contribution to the correct history of these units.

Mr. Cupper classified the original 2-tone green scheme as the first scheme. Now, to me its the same scheme with different markings, but I'm sure we can all make our own judgements about that.

This is also how Dan Cupper asserted in his 1984 Trains article about EL 833/CR 4022 ("The Executive E"?) that the 4022 has worn 6 paint schemes, with
the 2-tone green EL scheme being the second and GMY the third. What would have been the first?
