(erielack) Erie Lackawanna Survivors

This list has not been updated in a couple years, but it gives you a good idea of what's still operating today.

There was some discussion awhile back about the whereabouts of former Lackawannna GP-7 1278, did anyone confirm the condition of this unit and if it is still operating? And how about the status of all those rare DL&W RS-3 survivors listed here? i thought only one survived on the Housatonic RR. Also, according to this EL SW1200 456 was restored to it's original number 561, in DL&W paint?

Speaking of paint, here's what former EL GP-35 2582 looks like today. It was rebuilt as an SD39-2M and is now operating in Chile with a sister unit (2576) on the Fepasa RR.

Two views of the former 2582 are on the top of the page!
