Re: (erielack) archives



I was born and raised in Susquehanna. PA.  My father was a foreman at the
coach shop in Susquehanna.  My earliest memories are riding Erie trains to
Buffalo to visit relatives in that city.  My father was transferred from
Buffalo to Susquehanna by the Erie about 1930.  My mother came there as a
new bride. I have fond memories watching big berkshire engines with a santa
fe type on front and 1 or 2 more on the rear taking a mile of reefers up
accross Starucca Viaduct to Gulf Summit.
