Anyone know if the CNJ power ran through to Detroit or wherever the steel plant was(Rouge)? What was the motive power for this train once you got west of Binghamton??

Not sure of the exact routing but I recall that the cars wound up being
held at Toledo
because of problems unloading frozen coke at the final destination around
Detroit. Ford River
Rouge steel plant also received coke I recall.
The train symbol (ESX) probably stood for Elizabethport - Scranton Extra
and vice-versa.
