(erielack) Brief book review...

Hi folks,

I just got my "Erie Railroad Facilities, Vol. 3" this morning and had a
chance to briefly go through it.

The "Facilities" book show (surprise!) Erie railroad facilities - stations,
engine facilities, towers, etc. This particular volume is the last in a set
of three, and it covers the Erie in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana and
Illinois. Even though it's called "Erie RR Facilities," the vast majority of
the shots are taken during EL years (and many shots even feature EL trains
in them)

As an "East Ender", I have to say that I enjoy this volume the best of the
three. Maybe it's because Vol. 1 (New Jersey) was a lot of "yeah, seen that"
and this volume is almost all new stuff to me (they had an Erie Berkshire
tender at Cleveland lettered A200 for company service?!?) But the sheer
variety in this volume is pretty good, and the overall content is pretty
impressive to me. And I certainly learned more about West End facilities,
that's for sure! A lot of good diesel shots in many of these pictures, too.

Highly recommended! :)
