Indeed, since Howard Boulevard was moved! Originally, the station
project intended to use an existing tunnel under the railroad - which
was the original alignment of Howard Boulevard! A new tunnel was
built and the tunnel is NOT being used, but I don't know why.

Yes, it was, but supposedly it was left in place and just filled with
dirt.

Possibly, but the main customer there was Hercules, Inc, making
explosives for both the Army and commercial customers.
