Life is never simple. I forgot to add that the underbody contours at the car ends are different on the Youngstown sleepers versus the coaches. On the sleeper, the short Kadee couplers hit the base of the diaphragm/buffer structures and even a filing of the top of the Kadee knuckle did not remedy this. So I left that little lip on the top of the Kadee draft gear box, giving enough of a cant to the coupler that it clears and pivots freely. No one will notice.
