> provide maintenance services and storage space. Potential ridership > Scranton-NYC/Hoboken and points in between? Absolutely because of > "commuters" from > Northeast PA/Northwest NJ to jobs in NJ and NYC. Leave us not forget that as much as Martz has lots of commuters on its buses and I-80 is a mess from Blairstown East, there's also Short Line running commuter buses to Hawley and one all the way to Honesdale, and I84 from Port Jervis to 17 (not to mention 17 on down to the NY Thruway) are often as bad as I-80 in NJ. Pike County is growing at a faster rate than Monroe and Lackawanna too When the MN trackwork and signal project on the Port Jervis line is done, I think you'll see a significant speed-up in service too. Maybe it would be easier to put the track back between Hawley and Dunmore. Cheers, R.E.
