Baggage unloading platform.    Space restrictions required  longer trains to 
pull the baggage cars east of the crossing, so that coaches  could be more 
appropriately positioned in front of the station.

Second  question.  At Pocono Summit, just east of the Summit Ave grade  
crossing at the station, in some photos, I see a wooden platform next to  the 
track.  There is a photo in EL in Color vol 5 on pg 67 which  shows a 
westbound train in 1964 passing this platform.  What was this  platform?  It 
isn't low level like a station platform, it does ramp  up like a loading 
platform.  There are a total of 4 tracks there in  the photo too.  Cramers 
siding and 3 others.  I am guessing that  the track at the platform is a 
siding.  The Sheppard track diagram  book doesn't show it so I am assuming 
that that all might be gone by the  time I am modeling.
