RE: (erielack) Erie Cleveland modelers take note!



Jim, it was a task and these boats frequently bumped into things. The 
Champlain once broke loose in a storm and damaged a waterfront structure in 
either Cleveland or Toledo. The Fitz collided with another boat and whacked 
the side of locks 2 or 3 times during its short service life.

Thanks for this additional info; this helps tremendously. That map is
fantastic! As are the aerial photos, although I wish they were a tad larger.
What a task it must have been to maneuver those boats; and I assume they
then had to BACK them out to get back to the lake... Ouch. If one explores
further into that website, one can find other aerial photos; neat stuff...
