Hmmm...I must have missed that one.  I still have an older Rail Power Products SD45-2 shell and frame.  Not sure I want to go through with the conversion to an EL SD45-2 since Athearn was nice enough to do such a nice model for us.  Then again, it might only fetch a few bucks on eBay, so what would be the point...

Well, those might have been mine.  I decided to modernize my locomotive fleet, so it's out with the old and in with the new.  I'll tell you what...I think the old Athearn mechanism is virtually indestructible.  The hoods might be too fat, but you can't beat the value.
