I can imagine a passenger on another road, while passing by a wreck clean-up and thinking:
"I don't know where that 'Bucyrus' Railroad runs, but it and the Erie must have a lot of
wrecks to have so many wreckers.  I've sure seen a lot labeled for them."

Todd,

The Erie always tended to cloak their wreck trains in stealth. On the other
hand, the DL&W almost had bill-board lettering on theirs. After the merger,
the Erie outlook was prevalent in the EL years, and even the car numbers got
smaller.
